Karlovy Lázně stands near Charles Bridge and operates as a multi-storey music club. Its different levels cover current hits, retro, Latin and commercial electronic music. The venue also contains Ice Pub and a robotic drinks bar.

Its main advantage is the option to change floors when the music does not suit you. That works well for groups with different tastes or for a first Prague club night when nobody wants to commit to one genre in advance.

Karlovy Lázně should not, however, be presented as a hidden local favourite. Its central location, multiple music floors and proximity to Charles Bridge make it one of Prague’s most tourist-oriented nightclubs. People come for scale and variety rather than an intimate local scene.

Roxy has operated on Dlouhá Street since 1992 and occupies a former cinema with Art Deco details. It hosts club nights, concerts and audiovisual events. Upstairs, NoD combines a theatre, gallery and café.

House, techno, drum and bass and other forms of electronic music regularly appear on the programme. That does not mean techno is playing every night. One evening may focus on house, another on heavier electronic music, while the next date may be a concert rather than a club night.

Roxy is therefore best chosen by artist and event format rather than by the club’s name alone. Event pages normally state the genre, start time, ticket price and line-up.

The club’s general policy allows visitors aged 15 and over with identification or when accompanied by an adult, but an individual organiser may impose a different age limit. Check the page for your event.

Cross Club sits outside the tourist centre in Holešovice. Its interior is immediately recognisable for metal structures, gears, pipes, lighting and moving mechanical details.

It is more than a nightclub. The cultural programme includes concerts, electronic parties, theatre and seasonal outdoor screenings. Music generally leans towards non-mainstream styles such as drum and bass, dub, techno, bass music, reggae and experimental combinations.

Choose Cross Club according to the programme for the particular stage. One night may begin with a courtyard concert and continue with drum and bass downstairs. On another date, only part of the complex may be open.

Individual stages and admission prices depend on the event. Some nights may be free, while tickets for others are sold through the official ticketing links.

Best forAnyone looking for alternative music, an unusual setting and a less polished atmosphere.

Duplex occupies the upper floors of a building on Wenceslas Square. It has dance areas, bars and terraces overlooking central Prague. This is one of the most commercial and visually polished options in the selection.

The programme centres on house, EDM, club hits, themed nights and visiting DJs. Guests generally dress more formally than they would at Cross Club or an ordinary Roxy concert.

Duplex opens daily, but party names and prices change. Some dates feature student events, while others are large Friday or Saturday nights. An early-entry ticket may cost less, but it will no longer be valid after its stated entry time.

Best forPeople who want a large central party, are comfortable with a dress code and are not looking for an underground atmosphere.

Epic is on Revoluční Street near Republic Square. Electronic music, lighting, screens and stage production form the core of the experience.

The programme is not restricted to one genre. House and EDM sit alongside techno events, student nights, Afro-focused parties and mixed-music formats. The name Epic alone does not tell you what a particular night will sound like.

Tickets are sold separately for each event. The price depends on the artist, date, zone and time of purchase. Advance sales can make entry to a major DJ night more certain, but a purchased ticket cannot simply be exchanged for a different event.
